Robbie has provided a very efficient and practical solution for Perl Weekly Challenge #386 using robust and standard Perl core/CPAN modules. In doing so, he has displayed a very analytical and practical approach and avoided tripping over the standard floating-point precision problems and unnecessary re-implementations with the nice adaptation of the base conversion to the custom characters.
