eSports tournaments are gaining traction all over the globe. Not just limited to popular PC games like CS: GO, Rainbow Six Siege, Fortnite, and several others – but it is now a thing for mobile games as well.

In other words, no matter what the platform is – the competitive scene for gaming (in general) is improving a lot.

Now, HP and Virtuix have joined hands to sponsor a virtual reality eSports tournament with a cash prize pool of $100,000 excluding the additional goodies.

For a VR-based competitive event, this is a very good prize pool to start with.

In case you are wondering, Omni Arena will be utilized for the tournament developed by Virtuix Inc. It provides a free-roam experience while you play a VR game (as you can see in the image above).

It may not be the most common VR experience that you will get elsewhere – so it is definitely interesting to see the demand for a unique VR-based eSports tournament.

These motion-based VR experiences shall provide a fun experience for both the players and the spectators in the tournament.

What are your thoughts on it? Have you experienced the Omni Arena? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
