AT&T Will No Longer Throttle Their Unlimited Elite Customers

AT&T’s highest tier and most expensive data plan is its Unlimited Elite plan. However, for $85 a month, customers will still get throttled despite the name after hitting a certain amount of data. This throttling happens during peak times. However, the good news is that AT&T has decided to remove that and update the plan as well.
So what does this mean for Unlimited Elite customers? For starters, throttling will be removed. Customers subscribed to the plan will be able to enjoy full speed access regardless of how much data they’ve used. Like we said, prior to this the cap was at 100GB, which honestly is a lot, but now it doesn’t matter.
In addition to removing throttling, AT&T has also announced that the mobile hotspot data for Unlimited Elite customers will be increased from 30GB to 40GB. HBO Max, which was part of the package, will also now be streamable in 4K, so if that’s something you’ve been looking forward to trying, now seems like a good time to do so.
According to Jennifer Van Buskirk, Senior Vice President of Wireless Marketing, AT&T, “We listen to our customers, appreciate them and want to make it easy for them to get the most out of their wireless plans. With these Unlimited Elite enhancements, we are making it simple by automatically adding these enhancements for all our Elite customers – they don’t have to do a thing.”
